Abstract:
This work describes the activities performed to support the realization of experiments that
simulate the occurrence of a turbidity current in a reservoir. These experiments involved the
utilization of an Ultrasonic Velocity Profiler (UVP) to measure the velocity of the current in
the form of instantaneous profiles and also a bed profiler to measure the thickness of the
deposits. As a result a set of routines programmed in Fortran90 and MATLAB languages
have been developed to facilitate the post processing and analysis of the data.
