dc.description.abstract This report examines the use of CO2 gas in the curing process of various mortar and cement paste compositions to evaluate the feasibility of CO2 sequestration and its impact on material properties. Specimens with different water-to-cement ratios, cement types, and volumetric ratios were subjected to accelerated carbonation under controlled conditions of CO2 concentration, relative humidity, and exposure time. The study demonstrates the potential for CO2 sequestration in cement-based materials, with the degree of uptake varying according to composition and curing parameters. Additionally, the study explores the effects of CO2 curing on the mechanical properties of the samples. pt_BR
