Abstract:
It is expected that, in Europe, by 2030, and in the context of climate change, water stress and scarcity will affect around half of the river basins. The buildings sector is among the top priorities in terms of efficient use of resources in the EU. Water saving potentials of 30-50 % may be estimated for buildings. Office buildings in particular present a significant potential as they are, by nature, large water consumers.
