dc.description.abstract	This document constitutes a Deliverable of Action B3 “Optimization of PAC conventional addition” of the LIFE Hymemb Project (LIFE12 ENV/PT/001154). The document focuses the works developed for the full-scale optimization of powdered activated carbon (PAC) conventional addition in Alcantarilha Water Treatment Plant for controlling the emerging contaminants targeted by the project. The methodology adopted included performance assessment tools, to identify critical aspects of treatment and identify improvement measures, as well as pilot scale tests with spiking of pharmaceuticals compounds and pesticides to natural waters.	pt_BR
