dc.description.abstract Bridge falsework systems are one of the most common temporary structures used in the construction industry, namely to support the formwork during the construction of concrete bridges. In this paper the results of numerical studies of a selected structural system are presented using a novel joint finite element and information gathered from experimental tests. In the present paper, different hazard scenarios associated with bridge falsework systems will be analysed, such as: (i) bracing configurations; (ii) joint characteristics; (iii) falsework using steel beam girders. For each considered hazard scenario, the resistance is calculated and analysed. From the results, relevant practical information could be obtained which can be used to reduce the risk associated with the design and operation of bridge falsework systems. pt_BR
